Sochi Raises the Level of Hospitality

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee held a training seminar for Sochi’s hotel companies on effective management in the hospitality industry. This seminar is part of Sochi 2014’s educational program for the management and staff of Sochi’s hotels.

The seminar addressed the issues of the hospitality philosophy, the introduction of modern standards of service and the methodology for establishing procedures to improve the quality of services provided.

Together with industry-expert coaches, seminar participants identified the current problems and challenges facing Sochi’s hospitality industry in preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2014 and reviewed examples of best practice in the international hotel industry.

There will be a total of 42,437 hotel rooms in all categories available in time for the Sochi 2014 Games, to ensure the most comfortable living conditions for athletes, officials and guests of the competitions.

Hotels in Sochi are currently undergoing comprehensive modernization: major repairs of the three-star hotel complex “Loo” (750 rooms) have already been completed. The reconstruction of the combined sanatorium “Sochi” (360 rooms), the sanatorium “Russia” (265 rooms) and the three-star sanatorium “Zolotoy Kolos” (300 rooms) is also currently under development.
