Russia Has Another Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal

Russian Paralympians today won three more medals at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee congratulates Kirill Mikhaylov, Nikolay Polukhin and Vladimir Kononov as well as all Russian fans with a gold, silver and bronze medal.

By winning gold in the Men’s 20 km Free Cross-Country Skiing competition, Kirill Mikhaylov became a two-time Paralympic champion among athletes with a physical disability. He has also won a Vancouver gold medal in the Men’s Biathlon Pursuit.

Nikolay Polukhin also won his second medal at the Vancouver Paralympic Games. Today he won a silver medal in the Men’s 20 km Free Cross-Country Skiing competition. Polukhin’s first silver medal was in the Men’s Biathlon Pursuit among visually impaired athletes.

Vladimir Kononov brought Russia a bronze medal in the Men’s 20 km Free Cross-Country Skiing competition among athletes with a physical disability.
