Alexander Semikolennykh

Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation

Alexander N. Semikolennykh has been Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation since January 2001. This appointment followed a distinguished career, which has seen him appointed as a Grade IV Member of the For Merits to the Motherland Order as well as receiving several other medals.

Between 1993 and 2001, Mr Semikolennykh worked at the Main Control Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. Within this organization, he was Section Head, Head of the Department for Inspection of Government Executive Bodies, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate and Head of the Department for Inspection of Government Executive Bodies.

Prior to this, he worked as Director General of the Moscow Production Association for Computer Techniques and Computer Science (1992-1993); Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Association for Information Technologies, Software, Servicing of Computer Systems and Means and Computer Techniques (1991-1992); Deputy Head, then Head of the Central Department of the USSR State Committee for Computer Engineering and Computer Science (1986-1991).

After completing academic studies, Mr Semikolennykh worked at Voskhod Research Institute; the All-Russia Scientific-Research Institute of Economy of Mineral Resources and Geological and Prospecting Works and CentrEVMcomplex Production Association, Moscow (1972-1986).

He graduated from the Moscow Power Institute and the Academy of National Economy of the USSR Council of Ministers specializing in economics, mathematics and computing.

He was born in 1945.
