Chairman of the Federal Agency
for Physical Training and Sports

Vyacheslav Fetisov, chairman of the Federal Agency for Physical Training and Sports was newly elected in February 2007, Chairperson of UNESCO's International Convention against Doping in Sport. Formerly the Head of the Russian Olympic Hockey Team, in 2002, Mr. Fetisov has enjoyed an outstanding sport career. In addition to a series of major sporting successes, Mr. Fetisov is a two-time Olympic hockey champion, seven-time World champion and ten-time European champion. In 2002, he also became Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, which later became the Federal Agency for Physical Training and Sports.
