Alexey Gromov
Deputy Chief of the Presidential Executive Office

Alexey Gromov was born in 1960 in Zagorsk (Serghiev Posad). After graduating from the Department of History of Moscow State University, he worked in the headquarters of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then in the USSR General Consulate in Karlovy Vary and in the USSR embassy in Czechoslovakia. In 1992 he became a counsellor in the embassy of Russia in Slovakia. From November 1996 to March 1998 he worked as head of the press office of the RF President. From March 1998 to January 2000 he was head of the Presidential Press Office. From 2000 to 2008 Mr. Gromov worked as Press Attaché of President of Russia. Since May 12, 2008 he has served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office. Mr. Gromov speaks fluent Czech, Slovak and English. He is married and has two sons.
